She completed her PhD on the psychiatric consequences of traumatic brain injury, specialising clinically in neurosurgery, minimally invasive spinal surgery, neuromodulation and advanced MRI diagnostics, and gained extensive experience in highly critical medical decision-making situations. At the same time, she developed her expertise in prevention, care pathways, digital transformation, longevity science and health strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to her clinical work, she has been actively involved in teaching, prevention and health innovation. She advises companies and start-ups in the field of digital health, is a member of the BSKI with a focus on critical health infrastructure, and acts as an expert for the European Commission at the interface between neuroscience and technology. In 2024, she led the digital transformation of the DRK Pain Centre in Mainz, where she developed a digital care pathway for spinal patients, resulting in measurable improvements in processes and treatment outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, as Chief Medical Officer of FormMed HealthCare GmbH, Roxana Mittler-Matica is responsible for the medical direction, evidence-based product strategies and the expansion of preventive care.
