Leadership is about making everyone better.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bernhard Heusler is Honorary President of FC Basel 1893, a partner at HWH AG and Co-President of the Swiss Sports Aid Foundation. Since 2003, Bernhard Heusler has increasingly devoted himself to FC Basel 1893. Initially brought in as legal adviser to the board, he was elected vice-president of the football club in 2006 and, in 2009, took over responsibility for day-to-day operations as delegate of the board of directors. Under his operational leadership, FC Basel 1893 won the Swiss championship eight times in a row, reached the semi-finals and quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League, and qualified for the UEFA Champions League on six occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following his assumption of operational management responsibilities, Bernhard Heusler became the majority shareholder in FC Basel Holding AG. In 2012, Bernhard Heusler was elected President of FC Basel 1893 (the club) and FC Basel 1893 AG. In the summer of 2017, Bernhard Heusler \u2013 along with the entire management team \u2013 stepped down and transferred the shares in FC Basel Holding AG to a new owner. Bernhard Heusler became the second Honorary President in the club\u2019s history to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bernhard Heusler is President of the \u201cFoundation for Sick Children in Basel\u201d. He regularly speaks on the subject of corporate and team leadership at business events, management seminars and academic courses.
