Flo Akinbiyi in an interview

1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Flo Akinbiyi:

The core of my keynotes is human-first communication.

How are we truly perceived when we speak?
And how can we consciously shape the impact of our presentations, speeches, and messages?

In my keynotes, I break down how powerful communication actually works by focusing on the elements most people overlook: voice, body language, authenticity, and the ability to create genuine human connection.

At the same time, I show how to use technology as a tool that empowers you to craft messages, tell stories, and create moments that truly land with an audience, or how to do it without it.

After my keynote, people walk away with a clear understanding of how to communicate with clarity, confidence, and impact, especially in the moments where it matters most, whether that’s on stage, in a boardroom, or in high-stakes conversations.

2. Which audience or which industry do you reach with your speech?

Flo Akinbiyi:

My content is designed for business audiences across corporates, startups, and leadership environments.

I work with senior leaders, management teams, and emerging talent, all of whom share one common challenge: their communication needs to be clear, confident, and effective when it matters most.

Because communication is a skill we all use every day, it is relevant across industries. What changes is the level of expectation and the stakes.

My keynotes are particularly valuable for organizations and individuals operating in high-visibility, high-impact environments, where how you communicate directly influences decisions, trust, and results.

3. Are you a premium speaker? Where do you get your insights from?

Flo Akinbiyi:

I prefer to let the audience decide what defines a premium speaker.

What I can say is that I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from world-class communicators across different fields. Sharing stages and conversations with personalities such as Michelle Obama, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael J. Fox, Robin Sharma, and Pep Guardiola has shaped the way I see communication. Their messages, their presence, and their thinking have all influenced my work.

My insights come from a combination of observation, research, and real-world experience.

Observation is one of my strongest sources. I study communication everywhere. Whether it’s a pilot speaking over the PA system, a salesperson using voice and body language to engage customers, or a speaker on stage capturing an audience, I constantly analyze what makes communication effective.

At the same time, I support this with research and continuous learning to understand the psychological and human impact of communication on a deeper level. I am a certified coach in Acoustic Voice Profiling and regularly exchange with experts in the field to further develop my understanding of voice and its role in communication.

And finally, I apply everything in real time. As a presenter and moderator, I am constantly on stage, in front of audiences of all sizes, testing, refining, and evolving different approaches to create communication that truly connects and leaves a lasting impression.

4. What does the future hold in your field, and what matters more in your work over time, timing or consistency?

Flo Akinbiyi:

I believe the future of communication is incredibly exciting.

With AI evolving rapidly, more and more people will be able to create world-class presentations and compelling narratives. The real question, however, is not what you create, but how you deliver it.

Have you developed the skills to make that content truly yours? Are you co-creating with AI in a thoughtful way, or are you simply presenting generic output?

At the same time, as technology continues to grow through wearables, augmented reality, and digital interfaces, I see a risk of increasing distance between people. More notifications, more screen time, more distraction.

This makes the ability to build genuine human connection more valuable than ever.

Those who can truly connect, even within seconds, will have a significant advantage.

When it comes to time, both time and consistency play a critical role. Great communication is built through repetition, experimentation, and continuous refinement.

You don’t become an outstanding communicator overnight. It requires dedication, consistency, and the willingness to keep improving.

Because in the moments that matter, average communication is not enough.
