Alberto Nodale – Success on multiple tracks, proves how this is possible even at a young age

When he was around 15 years old, Alberto Nodale read his first book on entrepreneurship. For the child of a bank employee and a housewife, this was a whole new world. That was the moment where the idea of becoming an independent entrepreneur planted itself in the young kid’s head. And just a few years later, Alberto founded his first startup company at the age of 22 while he also completed his master’s degree at the same time.

Startup Success: The other side of the coin and the journey to Silicon Valley

Alberto Nodale and his startup team were awarded for many things: for their marketing, their business plan (1st place in Austria), the sustainability and the degree of innovation. However, despite winning multiple awards, he failed to focus on the essentials and scale the startup as planned.

One of the missing factors: sales know-how. So Alberto Nodale’s goal was to learn from the best in the startup world about sales. The journey led him to San Francisco’s Silicon Valley Sales Startup Close.io, where he previously met CEO and speaker Steli Efti at several events in Europe.

‘Steli was so inspirational on stage and when we closed our startup and I finished my masters degree I knew that now is the time to work with him,’ says Alberto Nodale.

After months of networking and challenging application tests, the firm offer was there and the flight booked. Alberto Nodale would be trained in the USA by Steli Efti and his team to become an uprising sales executive.

Don’t wish for it, work for it

Back in Europe and working as a remotes sales executive for Close.io, he now gives talks and lectures on startup sales: ‘I wish I knew a lot more about sales when we launched our startup back then. Now I’m passing on what I learned to future founders and students.’

At the same time he continues to grow his fitness and lifestyle blog with more than 40,000 followers on Instagram and has also been elected Mister Austria. His recipe for success: Asking the right questions, daring to approach people and relentlessly following up – until you get a response. And work hard for ones dreams, true to the motto: ‘Do not wish for it, work for it!’
