There are no individual wins
Sports teach us humility, resilience, teamwork and how to deal with failure. Lessons that can elevate any business leader and help teams reach their goals together by understanding what makes real teamwork. Behind every athlete stands a successful collaborative team.

Doomsday scenarios are ever present fuelling collective anxiety and pessimism. Once we understand that leaning into AI, tech and the fourth industrial revolution we will not only elevate our careers but will also find solutions to the world’s wicked problems like climate change and social inequality.

3. Are you a PREMIUM SPEAKER? Where do you get your insights from?

Beate van Loo-Born:

My insatiable drive to create a positive impact for people, organizations and the planet paired with my desire to understand complex topics and simplify them, has put me in a unique positionto be able to share my thougths with an audience.

I have a deep undesrtanding of management, sustainability, operational excellence, transformation , finance and athletic performance through professional experience (C-level executive in finance, daata and climate finance) in large (UBS), medium (Swiss Stock Exchange) and small (Climate Arc) organizations.

Additionally I have studied most topics academically at top tier universities like Cambridge and the Sorbonne (I hold 4 master’s degrees, and am half way though a PhD).

20 years of competitive endurance sports (5 time Ironman World Championship qualifier) have given me a deep insight in the importance of mindset and mental stability, resiliance and physical health, teamwork and perseverence that have carried over into my professional life.

I have been told that I “have a way with words” that makes abstract concepts tangible and understandable for others – many will remember my unusual analogies. I like to inspire, give impulses for discussion and food for thought.

Beate van Loo-Born:

One of my signature key notes circles around “what does the future bring”. I talk about AI, the fourth industrial revolution, climate change and how we will need to embrace the future with agiliity with optimism.

My work focuses on channeling private captial towards climate finance solutions which by definition is the attempt to build a better future, to change things today that will have an impact tomorrow.

As an aging high performance triathlete, the future will bring mental toughness and physical decline – something to manage.

So, absolutely, the future is always a topic, even if we cannot control it entirely.
