Tim Schreder – the “5 Premium Speakers Questions”

27. August 2025 – Mandy Weinand

Tim Schreder is known as the young, committed face of German television – as a presenter, reporter, author and director.

In his early 20s, he reported from around the world for the ZDF children’s news programme logo! Today, he produces award-winning documentaries for ARD, ZDF, ARTE and the Y-Kollektiv with his own company, erzaehlfabrik. He is never just interested in stories, but in substance – in topics that move people and linger in their minds. His current passion: longevity. Since becoming a father himself and inspired by intensive research trips around the globe, Tim Schreder has been exploring the question of how we can not only live longer, but above all remain healthy, productive and happy for longer.

Together with his wife Jennifer Sieglar, he has published a book on the subject: Einfach nicht altern? (Simply not ageing?).

Interview with Tim Schreder

1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Tim Schreder:

My keynotes focus on how we can slow down the aging process, stay healthy and high-performing for longer, and thereby improve our overall quality of life.

I combine my journalistic expertise as a director, author, and presenter with the latest scientific insights from longevity and health research.Drawing on more than 300 reviewed studies, I present evidence-based, clearly explained strategies across the most important areas of life: nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, supplements, and social factors such as relationships and life satisfaction.

I show which measures truly work, how much they can impact life expectancy – and how to implement this knowledge immediately in both personal and professional contexts.

2. Which audiance or which branch do you reach with your speech?

Tim Schreder:

My talks appeal to a wide but highly targeted audience:

  • companies and executives aiming to strengthen the long-term health, performance, and resilience of their teams
  • professionals from the health and fitness industry
  • organisers of conferences on future, innovation, and societal issues
  • and anyone with a personal interest in living a long, healthy, and fulfilling life

My topic is particularly relevant for organisations seeking strategies to keep employees healthy, motivated, and productive for longer in the face of demographic change.

3. Are you a PREMIUM SPEAKER? Where do you get your insights from?

Tim Schreder:

I bring the perspective of an award-winning journalist, director, and author who has been researching complex topics, making them accessible, and presenting them to wide audiences for over 15 years.

My insights come from in-depth, international investigations – for ARD, ZDF, ARTE, and Y-Kollektiv – and from personal encounters with leading figures in the global longevity and health research community. For our latest book Einfach nicht altern? (“Simply Don’t Age?”), co-authored with my wife, I reviewed more than 300 scientific studies and interviewed top experts in medicine, nutrition, sports science, psychology, and sociology.

This allows me to combine solid scientific knowledge with vivid examples, personal experience, and engaging storytelling.

4. What will be in the future? Does «time» play an important role in your work?

Tim Schreder:

The future will be defined by one key fact: we are living longer – and it will be more important than ever to spend this extra time healthy, capable, and fulfilled. Longevity is no longer a distant dream, but a realistic prospect. “Time” plays a double role in my field: firstly, because decisions we make early on about nutrition, exercise, sleep, and lifestyle will significantly impact our health decades later; secondly, because we are living in an era of rapid scientific progress, where we can now set the course for healthier, more productive decades ahead. Consistency means building healthy routines that not only work in the short term but protect us in the long run.

5. Tell us your life motto? What do you want to give your listeners to take with them?

Tim Schreder:

My life motto is: “Take your life into your own hands – you are in control.”

This belief runs through my entire biography: I started my career in journalism at 19, founded my own production company in my late twenties, and when I became a father, I completely reshaped my life – moving from TV presenter to producer and director. I’m convinced that our lives are shaped by the choices we make every single day.

The same applies to health and longevity. It’s not just our genes or external circumstances that determine whether we’re still fit at 100 or lose our quality of life by 70. Nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management are all within our control – and everyone, whether a corporate executive or a parent, can make changes here.

In my talks, I aim to show that making conscious decisions today can lead to a healthier, longer, and more fulfilling life tomorrow. The research for our book has made it clear: we have far more influence over how we age than we often realise – and that’s the message I want my audience to take away.
