Christian Stummeyer is regarded as a leading head of forward-looking research work in the fields of business informatics, digitalization and artificial intelligence. As a keynote speaker, he convinces on stage with vivid and practical know-how. We talked to him about his presentation topics, among other things.

Prof. Dr. Christian Stummeyer in an interview:

1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Christian Stummeyer:

The focus of my presentations is on digitalization, artificial intelligence and e-commerce. From the perspective of my audience, I highlight these areas in a very practical way, as I want the audience to take away concrete impulses for action from the events and perceive digital developments as opportunities. Among other things, I provide insights into the development of digitalization, artificial intelligence and e-commerce: where did we stand a few years ago, what standards exist today and where is the journey heading? Because this is the most important question: What challenges does the company or organization have to face in order to achieve the same or higher customer satisfaction in the future and to remain competitive with its offerings?

2. Which audiance or which branch do you reach with your speech?

Christian Stummeyer:

In the last five years of my speaking career, I have given lectures and keynotes in front of numerous audiences, moderated congresses and conducted management seminars. I am particularly enthusiastic about the diversity of industries and business models, which reveals the wide range of applications for my core topics: Whether, for example, a food manufacturer, a financial institution, a construction company, a state ministry, a global corporation or an employers’ association – all areas of economic life and everyday life have points of contact with digitalization, artificial intelligence or e-commerce – regardless of whether B2B or B2C.

3. Are you a PREMIUM SPEAKER? Where do you get your insights from?

Christian Stummeyer:

In recent years, I have been able to demonstrate my expertise in the field of digitalization in over 500 presentations and keynotes on stage and online. My clients include DAX corporations, medium-sized companies, public authorities and organizers of congresses and conferences.

My professional stations included the strategy consultancy Boston Consulting Group, the international management circle of Siemens AG and the management of UDG United Digital Group. At the Technical University of Ingolstadt, I have held the professorship of “Business Informatics and Digital Commerce” since 2016. This combination of practical and scientific experience allows me to gain a deep understanding of the needs and demands of my customers.

In 2020, I was included in the league of “Top 100 Excellent European Speakers”. I am also a Professional Member of the GSA German Speakers Association, the second largest speakers association in the world. The goal of my speeches is to inspire and excite through a strongly strategic view of the future. Digital and forward-looking ideas should encourage companies to critically examine their business models and realign them if necessary.

What will be in the future? Does «time» play an important role in your work?

Christian Stummeyer:

In my contributions, I very often refer to time and the future. Sometimes I take my audience on a journey through time. How have innovations developed over time, where are we today, what’s next. What seems innovative and hard to beat today is sometimes outdated next year. Looking back, we can only smile about many things. But today is not possible without the experiences of the past. And without visions and the courage to tackle seemingly impossible things, the future is synonymous with stagnation. Yes, time plays an important role in my keynotes and impulse lectures. Only with a critical look back, an honest reflection of today and a courageous, impulse-giving look into the future can companies and other organizations meet customer demands.

5. Tell us your life motto? What do you want to give your listeners to take with them?

Christian Stummeyer:

“If there’s a way to make something better: Find it!” (Thomas A. Edison)

I want my listeners to be inspired to actively create tomorrow even better.
