Oliver Heer – The “5 Premium Speakers Questions”

Oliver Heer is a single-handed sailor, athlete and adventurer. He will participate in the Vendee Globe Race 2024, a non-stop circumnavigation of the world that will last lasts for months. As an ocean sailor, he brings with him all the important qualities needed for such an adventure: Resilience, willingness to take risks, tenacity, determination and, of course, communication skills. Because although Oliver Heer is a solo sailor, he has a whole team behind him.

Over the past ten years, Oliver has established himself as a successful skipper and important support lead in some of the best-known offshore offshore sailing campaigns. He speaks about these experiences as a Keynote Speaker at events and functions.

1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Oliver Heer:

My core keynote subjects are how to reach your goals with resilience and determination, and how to deal with isolation. Other topics include goal setting and reaching your goals in challenging circumstances.

2. Which audiance or which branch do you reach with your speech?

Oliver Heer:

My audience is very diverse, mostly congresses or corporate events from various sectors.

3. Are you a PREMIUM SPEAKER? Where do you get your insights from?

Oliver Heer:

There are so many life skills that sailing teaches. From resilience and mental strength, to decision making and goal setting. These are the kind of skills that I believe all of us can benefit from.

4. What will be in the future? Does «time» play an important role in your work?

Oliver Heer:

The future brings and evolution of technological advances with which we all need to be able to live with and takea advantage from. As a competitive sailor, time is often the deciding factor between defeat and victory.

5. Tell us your life motto? What do you want to give your listeners to take with them?

Oliver Heer:

In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.
