Hyeonseo Lee – a North Korean woman is making headlines and is telling her story

Shortly afterwards, Premium Speakers founder Oliver Stoldt met Hyeonseo Lee in Zurich, an encounter which led to the conclusion of an exclusive collaboration in speaking management.

Hyeonseo Lee’s escape from North Korea fascinates the media and Hollywood alike. Exciting proposals to film her life story are on the table and the topic will be revisited when her autobiography “The Girl in the Red Shoes” is published in July 2015.

Hyeonseo Lee is also very much in demand for speaking engagements, and has appeared at an international banking summit in Paris, an insurance congress in Baden-Baden, the Young Entrepreneurs Summit in Mexico and the 2014 Oslo Freedom Forum. One of the highlights so far was her speech at the Global Speaker Program at Stanford University in California.

A further appearance is scheduled on 16/17 April 2015 at the Salzburg Economic Festival in Salzburg, Austria. Lee will be talking to Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg and José Manuel Barroso about her life and the future of North and South Korea.
