The world is not enough: Michal Ziso is the woman pioneering future on earth and beyond

15. September 2023 – Katharina Schlangenotto

For Michal Ziso of Israel, the world is not enough. Or so one might think.

The gifted visionary and space architect not only wants to make our planet human-centric, but space as well.

Michal Ziso is one of the most important thought leaders of our time. And therefore, a sought-after and equally gifted keynote speaker at international congresses, corporate events and summits.

The founder and CEO of ZISO – Innovation + Architecture Lab and The SLEEP – Revolutionizing Sleep, Recharge and Intimacy on Earth & Beyond creates, it seems, effortlessly new ideas for possible future scenarios that go far beyond what is imaginable and what has existed so far.

Michal Ziso: Shaping the earthly future with ideas for life in space

Michal Ziso is an architect and space architect, an expert in skyscrapers, large-scale urbanism, and integrative, human-centered design. Architect is still a term we all know, but what is space architecture all about?

On the esa.int site, one finds this attempted explanation: “A new field of work is becoming increasingly important: space architecture. The longer the stays for space travelers in space become, the more compelling is the question of a human-friendly living and working environment in this extreme world. ESA is interested in projects by architects with visionary designs for spacecraft, orbital stations and bases on the Moon and Mars.”

This is exactly what Michal Ziso is working on. She wants to make life on Earth and beyond human-centered.

Mission in progress: Shaping human-centered life

Spacecraft, space stations and future lunar and planetary bases must not only be survival space, it says on the ESA site, but “they must become living space for the crews, who spend months and perhaps years there, which also takes their needs into account. This is where creative architects, in addition to engineers and technicians, are needed.”

This is about more than life on the planet we call our world. This is about innovative approaches that could enable life in space in the future. For example, what might an optimal lunar or Martian station look like? What do humans need to not only survive for long periods of time in space, but possibly live there for much longer?

In her fascinating lectures, Michal Ziso skillfully spans the arc between an earthly, human-centered future and one that goes far beyond. Passionately bridging the gap between science fiction scenarios that suddenly seem very close and real, and real life here on Earth, she draws her audience under an irresistible spell.

Be the sun!

Michal Ziso is a pioneer in innovative thinking and shaping the future. In her presentations, she talks about inspirations from space that could reshape optimism on Earth. She gives inspirations based on her own experience that help to find new perspectives for your own careers and thinking. She shares her own most valuable tools to develop new perspectives that can assist in decision-making and change processes.

On her Facebook page, Michal Ziso recently shared this post:

“Does the sun ask itself: Am I good? Am I worthwhile? Is there enough of me? No, it burns and it shines. Does the sun ask itself: What does the moon think of me? How does mars feel about me today? No, it burns, it shines. Does the sun ask itself: Am I as big as other suns in other galaxies? No, it burns, it shines.”

As a personal note she added: “I feel this one sums up all that is going on in my life – finding my own way, working for equality and my special space journey. Be the SUN.”

Enjoy Michal Ziso. You will soon agree that the world can possibly not be enough. At least not for Michal Ziso.
