Samy Liechti is the founder of BLACKSOCKS, the world’s first online subscription service for men’s socks, with which he launched an innovative business model in 1999 and coined the term ‘sockscription’.

As a digitalisation pioneer and expert in customer loyalty, he has managed to take a simple idea and build a global brand that is now represented in over 120 countries. With over two decades of experience in entrepreneurship, he is an inspirer and encourager who not only talks about success, but also about hurdles and valuable lessons learnt along the way. Today, he shares his knowledge as a sought-after speaker and welcome guest at panel discussions.

1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Samy Liechti:

1. entrepreneurial career: From the idea to the exit
-> Started with an idea and not much more, I built up a company and finally sold it.

2. understanding the customer: From a product idea to 250,000 customers in 120 countries
-> We started with a good nose for latent needs, tried out, optimized and ultimately automated many things, and I am also a pioneer in marketing automation.

-> I have been digitizing since the 90s and with few resources. It’s about using creativity and technology to satisfy customers so that you can earn money with it.

Samy Liechti:

I gave my first presentation in 1999 and have now given over 500 in more than 10 countries. I have been able to inspire countless people to try new approaches and am still being asked about my appearances years later.

4. What will be in the future? Does «time» play an important role in your work?

Samy Liechti:

We live in a time of constant change, digitalization is advancing and customers are changing. Courage, constant learning and creative new approaches are the only way to hold your own, but it works.

5. Tell us your life motto? What do you want to give your listeners to take with them?

Samy Liechti:

I am curious, keen to experiment and stubborn and therefore convinced that things will always turn out well.
