Isabell Werth at the OMR 2025 – Between the gold medal and the question of money

Olympic precious metal does not shine by itself – as dressage icon Isabell Werth impressively demonstrated at the panel talk “Gold & Money: How top female athletes finance their dream of the Olympics” at OMR 2025. Together with Olympic bobsleigh champion Lisa Buckwitz and moderator Florian Rinke, Werth spoke about the often invisible side of top-class sport: financing.

As the most successful female rider in the world, Isabell Werth has won almost everything – but getting there was never just a question of sporting talent.
