Peter G. Kirchschläger – the “5 Premium Speakers Questions”

23. July 2026 – Mandy Weinand

How can we shape technological progress without losing sight of human dignity, freedom and responsibility? Prof. Dr Peter G. Kirchschläger explores these questions in his research and lectures.

The ethicist discusses the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence, its impact on work, politics, the economy and society, and the question of whether machines can ever develop responsibility, consciousness or emotions.

He also focuses on technology, business and corporate ethics, the consequences of social media and the universal significance of human rights. His lectures are aimed at businesses, executives, associations, international organisations, political institutions and the general public.

Peter G. Kirchschläger does not merely seek to inform his audience. He aims to stimulate critical thinking and encourage people to take responsibility themselves. For him, one thing is certain: our actions today will determine how humane and sustainable our shared future will be.

An interview with Peter G. Kirchschläger

1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Peter G. Kirchschläger:

My lectures explore the ethical issues surrounding artificial intelligence and technological developments. They address opportunities and risks, responsibility, regulation and governance, as well as the impact of AI on work, society, politics, power, art and religion. Fundamental questions are also central: Is AI actually intelligent? Can it develop consciousness or emotions? And what distinguishes humans from machines?

Other key areas include the ethics of social media, economic, corporate and financial ethics, and responsible leadership. In addition, I speak on human rights, human dignity, democracy and the relationship between law and ethics. The central question is always how we can shape technological, economic and social developments in such a way that they serve humanity and enable a dignified, free and sustainable future.

2. Which audiance or which branch do you reach with your speech?

Peter G. Kirchschläger:

  • Companies
  • Decision-makers
  • Professional associations
  • International organizations
  • Political parties
  • NGOs
  • Business Conferences
  • Business Symposia
  • General public

3. Are you a PREMIUM SPEAKER? Where do you get your insights from?

Peter G. Kirchschläger:

I love and I’m passionate about speaking to, for, and with people—challenging them with critical ideas, and inspiring them to take action for a better world.

4. What will be in the future? Does «time» play an important role in your work?

Peter G. Kirchschläger:

Through our actions today, we determine what the future will bring.

“Time” plays a crucial role in my work, given the pace and intensity of the technological progress I engage with from an ethical perspective daily in my research.

5. Tell us your life motto? What do you want to give your listeners to take with them?

Peter G. Kirchschläger:

Our lifetime is limited and precious. I want to make a difference and contribute in a small way to a better world—one where human dignity, freedom, and planet Earth are respected.

Think and act for yourself!

It is our exclusive responsibility as humans to create a humane and sustainable future for humanity and planet Earth.
