This week I was in the beautiful Montafon at the versus Festival. The versus Festival is a melting pot of opinions and a meeting place for entrepreneurs and decision-makers, whose views are directed in different directions and thus generate new perspectives.
In the middle of one of the most beautiful ski resorts in the world, the Silvretta Montafon. Side by side with speakers, talk guests and visitors, people discuss, argue and debate – always fairly, correctly and at eye level.
This year, I had the honour of accompanying Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg up the mountain and it was an extraordinary conference. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg spoke to more than 300 C-level personalities about the global power shifts in politics, the punitive tariffs imposed by the USA and President Donald Trump, the relationship between China and Europe and the urgent need for German politicians to get Germany back on the right track economically and politically over the next two years.
In an interview with China expert Yu Zhang, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg also spoke about China’s influence on German politics and the economy. China used to be ridiculed as the country of copiers, but today China is one of Europe’s most important partners in new technologies, artificial intelligence and global trade.
