Andreas Buhr Career:
Andreas Buhr is the founder of BUHR & TEAM Akademie AG, Düsseldorf, which was established in 2006. His career began as an entrepreneur in the financial services industry in 1980, parallel to his business studies. Initially responsible for management and sales sales force, at the age of 28 he was already at the top of one of the largest sales organisations in organisations in Europe. Andreas Buhr sold his first company in 2005 and founded today’s BUHR&TEAM Akademie für mehr Unternehmenserfolg AG in Düsseldorf in 2006.
The Trainer of the Year, who has received numerous awards, was President of the German Speakers Association (GSA), the second largest speakers’ association in the world, from 2013 to 2015 and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2018. Andreas Buhr is also a member of the American National Speakers Association (NSA) in New York. In 2010, he was the first European to be honoured with the rare speaker title “Certified Speaking Professional” (CSP). In 2018, his BUHR & TEAM Akademie AG received the Human Excellence Award. In 2021, he was appointed to the Federal Economic Senate, the excellence committee of the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BVMW).
Andreas lives with his wife Karin von Billerbeck-Buhr in Düsseldorf. The couple have two grown-up sons. His great passion is sport: he was an enthusiastic marathon runner, is a ski instructor and a committed golfer. The entrepreneur is also constantly setting himself new goals in his private life: He recently took part in a took part in a Mount Everest tour. In 2023, Andreas was appointed as an honorary ambassador for “It’s for Kids” on a voluntary basis. This foundation campaigns internationally for children in need.
