Chris von Rohr, born in Solothurn in 1951, rock legend and cult figure. The Krokus founder / bassist and producer sold 15 million albums (with bands Krokus, Gotthard, Polo Hofer, Patent Ochsner) and was awarded over 50 times with Gold & Platinum Record Awards, including USA and Canada. Chris is an honorary citizen of Memphis, Tennessee.

His books “Hunde wollt ihr ewig rocken” , “Bananenflanke” , “Sternenstaub” and “Götterfunken” are bestsellers. With various TV shows he made himself a name as a renowned national music juror that never held back his true feelings.

His slogan “Meh Dräck” was voted “Swiss word of the year 2003”. His monthly column in the Swiss magazine “Schweizer Illustrierte” is one of the most popular columns.

Today, Chris von Rohr is a father of a daughter, who lives in Solothurn and Crete, writes as an author and songwriter and tours with Krokus successfully worldwide.
