Volker Quaschning – the “5 Premium Speakers questions”

16. June 2022 – Mandy Weinand

Volker Quaschning is THE expert when it comes to the climate crisis and renewable energies. Climate change is one of the greatest threats to our world. What will happen to our livelihood and above all: what will we leave to future generations, to our children? Energy supply must be guaranteed exclusively on the basis of renewable energies. But what solutions are industry and business developing? Volker Quaschning explains understandable information and facts about this in his YouTube videos.

Volker Quaschning in interview:

1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Volker Quaschning:

The climate crisis is the greatest threat to humanity in this century. If we do not succeed in limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, global warming will have catastrophic consequences. The main drivers are our energy needs and our agriculture. The lecture illustrates the urgency of action in climate protection and shows ways in which we can still avoid the worst consequences of the climate crisis in a short time with an energy revolution and a complete conversion of our energy supply exclusively to renewable energies.

2. Which audiance or which branch do you reach with your speech?

Volker Quaschning:

The lectures are aimed at a wide audience, ranging from experts and decision-makers to interested laypeople in the field of energy transition and climate protection.

3. Are you a PREMIUM SPEAKER? Where do you get your insights from?

Volker Quaschning:

I am one of the leading energy transition experts in Germany and teach and conduct research in Berlin. I have been working in the field of renewable energy systems for 30 years and have written various specialist books on the subject, which are considered standard works. My last book also became a Spiegel bestseller.

4. What will be in the future? Does «time» play an important role in your work?

Volker Quaschning:

The future will decide whether we can still manage the consequences of the climate crisis or whether they will get out of control. If we are not ready for comprehensive changes, we will increasingly lose control.

5. Tell us your life motto? What do you want to give your listeners to take with them?

Volker Quaschning:

Today is a good day to save the world. It is still in our hands to give our children and future generations a future worth living in. The necessary technologies are available and we can also afford the change. The only question is whether we are willing to take the necessary steps.
