Interview with Florian König:
1. What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?
“My talks are about real stories, exciting insights and valuable impulses: How do you stay focused in the stressful world of Formula 1? What can we learn from controversial discussions on ‘Doppelpass’ for our own conversations? And how can we set the course for a happy future between 50 and 60? My aim is not only to provide exciting insights, but also to provide inspiration for everyday life.”
2. Which audience or which branch do you reach with your speech?
My audience is just as diverse as my topics. I often meet business audiences at my Formula 1 talks because there are so many parallels between the fast-paced world of motorsport and business – for example in terms of strategy, teamwork and coping with pressure. On Doppelpass, it is of course mainly soccer fans and sports fans who appreciate the exciting insights into this world. And the topics surrounding life phases and change actually appeal to everyone – from participants at health fairs to insurance companies and companies who want to give their employees valuable inspiration for this challenging time.
3. Are you a PREMIUM SPEAKER? Where do you get your insights from?
I’ve been in front of the camera since 1989 and have experienced an incredible amount during this time. From thrilling Formula 1 moments with Schumi, Vettel and Lauda, to encounters with greats such as the Klitschko brothers or the German national team since 2014 – all these experiences flow into my presentations. But it’s not just about the professional side: I have also drawn many insights from my personal life story, which I share with my audience. This makes my talks approachable and authentic – and that’s exactly what people appreciate.
4. What will be in the future? Does «time» play an important role in your work?
The future always brings something new – that can be exciting, but also frightening. I want to give my listeners confidence. In my generation – growing up in the 70s and 80s – things were much more carefree: we went on vacation without seatbelts and were unavailable for two weeks on our first trips without parents – and that was completely normal. Things are different today.
Today’s generation, some of whom even call themselves the ‘last generation’, face completely different challenges. Concerns about the planet, their own future and the rising cost of living weigh heavily on many young people. This makes it all the more important not to lose our basic optimism. Confidence is what drives us forward – and that’s exactly what I want to advocate in my talks.
5. Tell us your life motto? What do you want to give your listeners to take with them?
My motto in life is: No fear – don’t be afraid!
Fear often stops us from tackling things that could take us further. Of course, respect for challenges is part of this, but we must not let fear paralyze us. I have learned that those who overcome their fears are often rewarded with great experiences and new opportunities. And that’s exactly the message I want to pass on to people.
