Jens Neumann – the “5-Premium Speakers Questions”

Actually Jens Neumann had only one goal: to bring a band from Bremen to the top of the charts. In the early 1990s he travelled to New York with a record in his luggage, ran from label to label and against walls – until he had the decisive idea at the right moment. Everything else has been music history for a long time; a success story that has no equal.

But not everything always went smoothly. As the success with Mr. President fades away, Jens Neumann lands with both feet on the ground again. He reinvents himself – and returns to his roots, to video marketing. He identifies trends early on, takes over 360-degree support from conception to production and distribution, and now advises HR, marketing and PR departments of large companies on how to successfully advertise for their company with Youtube and social media moving image content and creative storytelling.

His example shows that there is always a way. Do, fail. Keep going! With the right attitude, a high willingness to learn and self-confident, self-reliant action, challenges become opportunities. And opportunities become successes.

What are the core subjects of your keynote speeches?

Jens Neumann:

The core topics of my speeches focus on video in corporate communication. Especially YouTube plays an important role. YouTube videos and the power of this platform have not only been felt since the YouTuber “Rezo” and his “Anti-CDU Video”. My area of expertise is the organic reach, i.e. views not financed with advertising budget, on YouTube for companies. Since I never studied anything, I became an expert through detours. That’s exactly what my lecture on “Coco Jamboo”, a world hit, is all about. I’m responsible for it and it never became a hit if I hadn’t ridden a freight elevator in New York City years before. I describe many adventures and experiences that I have learnt as an independent company in the last 30 years and that have shaped my mantra: Simple. Do.

Which audience or which branch do you reach with your speech?

Jens Neumann:

My presentations are exciting, humorous and convey many inputs and impulses to decision-makers from all areas of industry and companies from all sectors. In addition to entertainment, there are a lot of takeaways that can be put into practice immediately. This is the most important thing for me in my lectures and practical workshops. It doesn’t help to just arouse enthusiasm and then the daily business routine comes along and all good intentions are gone.

Why are you a Premium Speaker? Where do you get your insights from?

Jens Neumann:

I am authentic and in my speeches I only tell what I have experienced myself, tested or gone through. I am very happy to pass on these learnings. I love to see my audience getting restless on their seats because they want to implement my inputs immediately. If I am 100% convinced of something then I follow the path to the goal and don’t stop in the middle of it. No matter what comes. I think you can feel this energy in my lectures and that’s what makes me a Premium Speaker.

What will be in the future? Does 'time' play an important role in your work?

Jens Neumann:

YouTube and all other social media platforms are in a constant state of change. It is very difficult to predict where the journey will take us, which new platforms will be added and which no longer have any value for companies. The only thing that can be said for sure: the current dynamic will take off and companies must be able to adapt their communication more often and faster than just a few years ago and be prepared for it.

What is your life motto? What would you like to give your listeners on the way?

Jens Neumann:

Two words that can be interpreted in very different ways. For me it means: “Just do it. Do not hesitate if you are convinced” And: “Make it as simple as possible so that everyone can understand it.
