Strategy Days at Föhr Island

01. May 2026 – Oliver Stoldt

Strategy days between beach chairs, sunsets and Trümmertorte

As we do every year, Wolfram Sauer and I spend our strategy days on Föhr. The big questions we always ask ourselves are: What will the agency of the future really look like? What does the market look like today, tomorrow and in two years’ time, and what are our clients’ needs?

These topics really get us going, and between a round of football golf at Bauer Hinrichsen’s, the sunset in Utersum and the row of beach chairs in Wyk, we discuss these questions at length. The ideas just keep flowing. Much of it is simply fun, but we flesh out certain points and use them to draft a strategy paper.

What always helps us enormously is that Astrid Berndt from the content team lives on Föhr and provides immediate feedback on feasibility and cost-benefit. This input from Astrid and Mandy is incredibly valuable.

Our companies are built on three strategic pillars: Visibility – Brand Building – Relevance

Within these strategic areas, the focus is clearly defined. We have a few ideas that we will implement separately at LEADING MINDS and Premium Speakers. And a joint initiative, which we are now looking into, developing and implementing as we search for the right person.

Everything is planned until the end of October; on 31 October we’re off to Los Angeles for the IASB Conference – and Wolfram is coming along for the first time. The internationalisation continues.

I’ve now spent 18 days on Föhr without a single rainy day. Tomorrow I’m heading back to the hustle and bustle, straight on to Hamburg. The OMR is kicking off. Monday is a fantastic podcast day with great people, and then it’s on tour every week until 10 July. Exciting times ahead.
