Ellen Frauenknecht is a leading business journalist and anchorwoman for top European media groups delivering news in both German and English since 1999. While regularly attending the World Economic Forum in Davos and over the course of her career she has interviewed thousands of decision makers in business, politics and society.

Ellen started her TV career at Bloomberg in London. Aged 21, she became the youngest on air face in European Business TV. Ellen also reported live from the New York Stock Exchange before moving back to German in 2003 as CNBC Europe’s Germany and ECB Chief Correspondent.

A couple of years later she moved on to anchor DW TV’s Business News in Berlin and since 2007 she reports live from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange for Germany’s leading public broadcaster ARD.Since 2011 she is also the face of a prime time news show in German NDR Television.

And in the little time left, Ellen is a much-sought after moderator and host of conferences, events, panel discussions. She dives deep into all topics beforehand and convinces and entertains her audiences with spontaneity, quick-wittedness, and a great sense of humor.Ellen holds a First Class (Honors) Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Social Policy from the University of London.
