Ice Hockey Coach, Motivator, Coach, Winning!

Sean Simpson started his career as a player with the playing fort he Ottawa 67’s from 1976 until 1981. In 1980 he was drafted in the NHL Entry Daft in the 7th round as the 141th player by the Chicago Blackhawks. After a couple of years in the minor leagues he came to Europe.

The speech “winning spirit” shows how the factors of “leadership”, “motivation” and “teambuilding” are connected to make a team successful!

Also does the speech include many humorous and personal experiences and shows how a group is formed of individual people into a strong team.

His first stop was in the Netherlands where he became the teams top scorer with the Tilburg Trappers. After following stops in Italy and Switzerland (EHC Olten), Sean Simpson started his coaching career as a junior coach in 1991 with EV Zug.

His first big success was in the season 97/98 when he won the Swiss Championship with the EV Zug’s top team.

After stops in Germany in Munich and Hamburg he came back to Switzerland and won in 2009 the Champions Hockey League with the ZSC Lions Zurich, with which he also won the Victoria Cup beating the Chicago Blackhawks.

In 2010 he took over the Swiss Nationalteam and as the biggest success, 2013 he won the silver medal in Stockholm at the World Championship.

Many additional experiences he archieved with the national team of Belarus and working with different people of Worlds hockey: Andy Murray, Steve Yzerman, Glen Hanlon, Doug Gilmour, Dave Lewis, Curt Fraser, Wayne Fleming und viele weitere.
