The starting point for Lück’s long career in the financial industry was his training as a banker, which he began over 40 years ago in his home town of Hanover. This was followed by a degree in economics and a doctorate with a thesis on Italian central bank policy before Martin Lück returned to the financial markets as a capital market economist in Frankfurt am Main in 1997.
Analyzing the capital market environment in the ups and downs of various financial and currency crises, the crashes after 9/11, the Covid pandemic or the Russian war of aggression, the omnipotence of central banks and the helplessness of financial politicians – all this has shaped the experience he has gained over the decades with the complex interplay between the economy, political decisions and the free play of market forces.
After literally thousands of client meetings, presentations and capital market discussions, Martin Lück is now a sought-after speaker and participant in panel discussions, as well as a frequent interview guest in the press, radio and television.
