From the German province to the Big Apple
After her law studies in Cologne, Paris and New York, she started as consultant at Deloitte & Touche before she was appointed Director of Research Strategies and Senior Relationship Manager at Roubini Global Economics (RGE) in 2009. Her boss at the time, star economist Nouriel Roubini, predicted the outbreak of the financial crisis long before it actually happened. Two years later, power lady Navidi opened up her own business BeyondGlobal. Here, she and her team provide strategic consultancy to financial institutions and corporations seeking to optimally position themselves in international capital markets.
Her entrepreneurial spirit started when she was a kid. Her father, born in Persia, ran a Small Business in her hometown Mönchengladbach in Germany. She says that she is used to hard work. When she worked in her fathers company, her father expected from her to be first, to leave last, to treat employees with respect and not to play the role of a daughter.
