Business Economist, Ex-Investment Banker, DJ & Psychologist

Performance- and success-oriented from an early age, Annie Oelmann, aka Annie O., decided to study business administration at a renowned German private university. After graduating, she had achieved her goal: At the age of 22, she went to London to join Merrill Lynch as an investment banker. Her starting salary was just under €100,000.

Purpose: The break in her resume – from Investment Banker to DJane

But after a very short time she realized that the investment banker’s daily routine didn’t suit her needs at all and that she had been chasing an illusory self-affirmation. She listened to her gut, quit after only 6 months and let herself drift without a plan for the first time in her life. This led her to music: first she played as a drummer in a London electro band for years, finally she continued on her own as a DJ and moved to Berlin.

DJane Annie O. – “Corporate Mood Officer”.

Now Annie O. is resident DJ at the infamous KitKatClub, hosts a party series there, plays at various Berlin clubs, corporate and private events.

Annie Oelmann Lecture Topics

Annie Oelmann talks about her multi-faceted path:

  • from investment banker to DJane
  • from head ego to gut ego
  • from single-mindedness to productive drifting
  • from achievement to self-realization
  • from illusion to truthfulness
  • from the false to the true self
  • … all around: from the liberation from inner constraints

And as if that wasn’t enough: a few years ago she decided to study her heart’s subject again – now she is about to get her master’s degree in psychology.
