Prof. Dr. Klaus W. Wellershoff is Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO, and Senior Client Partner of the internationally active management consultancy Wellershoff & Partners Ltd., which specializes in advising financial service providers in asset management.

His professional career began with a banking apprenticeship at the Cologne-based private bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. Klaus Wellershoff then studied economics and business administration at the University of St. Gallen. During his doctorate, he was appointed Visiting Fellow at the Department of Economics at Harvard University. Since 2011, he has been Honorary Professor of Applied Economics at the University of St. Gallen.

From 1995 to 2009, Dr. Wellershoff worked at UBS. From 1997, he held the position of Chief Economist. From 2003, he also headed up the entire research department of the Wealth Management and Business Banking division and was head of the Investment Committee for this part of the company. From 2003 to 2009, he was a member of the Group Management Board of UBS.

Prof. Dr. Klaus W. Wellershoff has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and co-founder of ZWEI Wealth Experts AG since 2014. Following the sale of the company to Swiss Life AG in spring 2025, he remains a member of the Board of Directors of ZWEI Wealth. He is also co-founder and President of the Board of Trustees of the Pro Handball Foundation and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Resortho Foundation, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Balgrist Campus AG.

Prof. Dr. Klaus W. Wellershoff is a dual German/Swiss citizen. He completed his military service in the German Navy. He is the father of four sons (born in 1994, 1995, 1999, and 2002).
