Peter Fischer gives lectures on various topics

  • Passion – as an employee, entrepreneur and in sports.
  • Fair Play: Leadership with values and attitude.
  • Clear communication in success and in crises – “Saying what is.”

Peter Fischer has held the office of President of Eintracht Frankfurt for 23 years. Despite all his sporting successes, his tireless commitment to democratic values will be his lasting legacy. In addition to his work for the club, Peter Fischer is a vehement advocate of clear values and attitudes, especially in the fight against far-right parties and extremism.

When Peter Fischer took over as manager of Eintracht Frankfurt in 2000, the club was on the brink of the abyss. Sporting fortunes were extremely poor, with relegation from the Bundesliga in his first season and the German Football League (DFL) refusing to grant a license in 2002, which was eventually granted after all. In the 23 years since Peter took office, Eintracht Frankfurt has more than 130,000 members playing more than 50 sports. In 2018, the club won the DFB Cup and in 2022 the UEFA Cup.

Peter Fischer has been present at the center of these developments all these years, unmissable with his imposing height of two meters. Sometimes dazzling, then again belligerent, he was always a convinced supporter and front man of Eintracht Frankfurt. The close connection between the fans and the club also exists because Peter Fischer always sat in a decisive position, knew the needs of the members, athletes and fans, communicated with them, argued with them and celebrated with them.

One of Peter Fischer’s outstanding achievements is his tireless advocacy of the values he has always emphasized. He recognizes the sociopolitical potential that a soccer club can have and always considers it a responsibility. Fischer has openly and resolutely opposed extremist and racist currents in Germany. For him, freedom, democracy and tolerance are lived values that he has uncompromisingly defended. In 2022, Peter Fischer was honored with the Buber-Rosenzweig Medal for his services.

In February 2024, Peter Fischer has been anounced as honorary president of Eintracht Frankfurt. He is available as a speaker and guest for discussion groups.
