Tim Schreder is a director, writer, presenter and producer – and one of the most recognisable faces on young, modern German television.
Born in Düsseldorf, he started working for ZDF at the age of 19, presenting the children’s news programme logo! and reporting from all over the world – including a report on the refugee crisis that was nominated for the Grimme Prize. From 2018 to 2024, he presented the morning show Live nach Neun on ARD.
At the same time, he built up his production company erzaehlfabrik, founded in 2016, with which he now produces award-winning documentaries and reports for ARD, ZDF, ARTE and the Y-Kollektiv – including the most successful Y-Kollektiv of all time (The most expensive school in the world, 2025) and exclusive shoots with personalities such as tech billionaire Bryan Johnson.

- Longevity: Slowing down the ageing process, staying healthy longer
Tim Schreder was nominated as Journalist of the Year, won the Hans-Joachim-Friedrichs-Preis with logo! and received the Hildegard-Hamm-Brücher-Preis together with his wife Jennifer Sieglar. His first two books were on the SPIEGEL bestseller list.
In 2023, he became a father himself – a personal turning point that made him rethink the topic of longevity. However, the real trigger was his work as a filmmaker: in 2023/2024, he produced a film for ARD about the international longevity scene and met with leading researchers, entrepreneurs and pioneers from around the world, including Bryan Johnson.
The encounters and insights gained during this research fascinated him so much that he and his wife decided to explore the topic in depth in a comprehensive, scientifically based book – and now also to bring it to the stage in lectures.
In their new book Einfach nicht altern? (Simply Not Ageing?), Jennifer Sieglar and Tim Schreder evaluated over 300 scientific studies to filter out which methods really help slow down the ageing process and stay healthy longer from the jungle of advice, trends and expensive promises – from nutrition and exercise to sleep and stress management to supplements. The result is an understandable, evidence-based guide to improving quality of life – both privately and professionally.
Today, Tim Schreder shares these insights in lectures – from the big stage to business events. Because longevity is no longer just a topic for medicine: those who stay healthy can work efficiently, think more creatively and significantly improve their quality of life.
In his private life, Tim Schreder is a passionate athlete: after suffering a slipped disc, he fought his way back with road cycling, running, strength training and yoga – and today feels fitter than ever before.
