BrucBruce Dickinson is the frontman and lead singer of Iron Maiden, a professional pilot, entrepreneur, author and creative thinker.
As one of the defining voices of heavy metal, he has been performing on the world’s biggest stages for decades. At the same time, he has made a name for himself far beyond music – as an airline captain, aviation entrepreneur, business angel, brand strategist and inspiring keynote speaker.
His career brings together worlds that may seem very different at first glance: rock music, aviation, entrepreneurship, brand management and personal resilience. This is precisely where his keynotes begin. Bruce Dickinson does not speak about leadership, teamwork or innovation in theory – he draws on a life in which major shows, global tours, complex logistics, entrepreneurial risks and precise decision-making are part of everyday reality.
Bruce Dickinson was a pilot and Marketing Director at Astraeus Airlines. He later founded Cardiff Aviation, his own company in the field of aircraft maintenance and pilot training, now known as Caerdav. Based in St Athan in South Wales, the company specialises in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of commercial aircraft and works, among others, on aircraft from the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families. This entrepreneurial experience makes Dickinson an exceptional speaker on topics such as transformation, business turnaround, customer loyalty, risk, communication and creativity in business.

In his keynotes, Bruce Dickinson demonstrates how closely rock music, aviation and business are connected. Whether on a world tour, in the cockpit or building a company, success is based on clear communication, precise preparation, teamwork, trust and the ability to remain effective under pressure. Dickinson sees setbacks as an opportunity to learn, adapt and move forward in new ways.
As the frontman of Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson is part of one of the most successful rock bands in the world. The band has released 17 studio albums, sold more than 100 million records worldwide and performed almost 2,500 concerts in 64 countries. In 2025/26, Iron Maiden is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the “Run For Your Lives World Tour”. Dickinson also remains active as a solo artist: in 2024, he released “The Mandrake Project”, his first solo album in almost 20 years, which achieved strong international chart positions.
Bruce Dickinson joined Iron Maiden in 1981 and, with his voice, helped shape a new era for the band from the album “The Number Of The Beast” onwards. After temporarily leaving the band, he pursued his own projects as a solo artist, pilot and entrepreneur before returning to Iron Maiden in 1999. One particularly striking example was the “Book Of Souls World Tour” in 2016, during which Dickinson personally piloted the specially designed Boeing 747 “Ed Force One”.
In his talks, Bruce Dickinson speaks about creativity in business, entrepreneurship, brand management, customer enthusiasm, innovation, teamwork and dealing with risk. His autobiography “What Does This Button Do?” further underlines his extraordinary life story between music, aviation, entrepreneurship and personal resilience.
Charisma, humour and experience make Bruce Dickinson a sought-after speaker for conferences, leadership events, customer events and corporate formats.
