Jennifer Sieglar Lecture topics

  • Health & longevity – evidence-based strategies for slowing down the ageing process
  • Specific longevity aspects for women: differences in nutrition, training, supplements

As an author, Jennifer Sieglar – together with Tim Schreder – has published the SPIEGEL bestsellers Ich versteh die Welt nicht mehr (I Don’t Understand the World Anymore, 2017) and Nie wieder keine Ahnung (Never Again No Idea, 2021). In 2019, her book Umweltliebe (Love of the Environment) was also published, which also became a SPIEGEL bestseller.

Her work has received numerous awards: together with logo!, she won the German Television Award and the Hanns Joachim Friedrichs Award. She received the Kindernothilfe Media Prize for her report on the Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh. In 2022, she and her husband Tim Schreder were awarded the Hildegard Hamm-Brücher Prize for Democracy Education for their work as non-fiction authors.

In 2023, she became a mother at the age of 40 – a personal turning point that changed her perspective on health and longevity. Jennifer Sieglar comes from a family with several members who have reached a ripe old age. Her great-aunt Marianne is 94 and still physically and mentally fit and full of joie de vivre. Her great-uncle Horst still competes in cycling races at over 80. Jennifer Sieglar took a close look and asked herself: What do they do differently from others?

This personal curiosity and the experience from her own environment led to a keen interest in the topic of longevity, which culminated in her new book Einfach nicht altern? (Simply Not Ageing?). In it, Jennifer Sieglar and Tim Schreder evaluated more than 300 scientific studies to filter out what really helps slow down the ageing process and stay healthy longer from the jungle of nutrition tips, sports trends, sleep and stress strategies, and expensive promises.

Jennifer Sieglar paid particular attention to the question of what longevity strategies specifically for women should look like. Whether it’s nutrition, training or supplements, many recommendations have so far been tailored primarily to men. She not only researched this knowledge for the book, but also integrated it into her own exercise and lifestyle routine.

In her lectures, Jennifer Sieglar combines journalistic clarity, many years of moderating experience and a personal interest in fitness, prevention and women’s health. She shows how scientific findings can be applied to everyday life – and how everyone can make decisions today to be healthier, fitter and more joyful tomorrow.

In her private life, she keeps fit with running, strength training and yoga – and knows from her own experience how much an active lifestyle strengthens the body and mind.
