Nicole Reist, born 1984, is a certified technician HF structural engineering. Her hobbies are cycling, cycling and cycling. So passionate that she likes to sit in the saddle for several hundred kilometers, even over 1,000, non-stop. She rode the special discipline ultracycling. These are long-distance races of 1,000 kilometers and more. She was the most successful athlete worldwide.

As a child and teenager, Nicole spent many years competing in tennis and floorball. Later, for fun, she took up mountain biking, before becoming fascinated by racing bikes. In 2004 she completed her apprenticeship as a draftswoman. In 2005 she started a regular systematic road bike training in preparation for her first ultra race. During her first participation in the 24-hour bike race in Schötz, she realized that her performance limit had not yet been reached. In 2007 Nicole Reist participated in the Glocknerman Ultramarathon World Championship, with a distance of 820 kilometers. And also here she felt, there is still more possible. In 2009 she started her first TORTOUR, an ultracycling race over 1000 kilometers. In 2011, she graduated with a degree in structural engineering HF and has been working 100% in an architectural office ever since. Since 2012 she won at least one victory at a big ultracycling race every year.

Since 2012, Nicole Reist has won every ultracycling race over several thousand kilometres that she has entered. In 2016 & 2018 she won the longest and toughest non-stop race in the world – the Race Across America. 5,000 kilometers and 52,000 meters of altitude in 9 days 23 hours 57 minutes, which is also a course record. In these almost 10 days she slept 9 hours and spent the rest on the bike. 2022 Nicole Reist was leading overall at the Race Across America until 300 km before the finish, only a heavy crash could prevent the overall victory. Nevertheless, she won the women’s category with more than 2 days to spare.
In 2020 Nicole Reist made history and left all men behind her at the Italian non-stop cycling race Adriatic Cycling Marathon. She covered 1200 kilometers and 7,000 meters of altitude in 43 hours and 54 minutes. She was the first woman to win an overall victory in an ultra-cycling race.
