Paul Funke represents the economy of the next generation. He shows companies how to remain successful in a world where attention, consumer behavior, work culture, and technologies are changing faster than ever before.

As an entrepreneur, founder of MOMENTUM, and creator of 8PM SOCIAL, he develops brands, products, and platforms for Gen Z and Gen Alpha. He is actively shaping this transformation as a consultant to international companies and as the founder of a social network that is reimagining digital communication for a new generation.

With MOMENTUM, Paul helps companies consistently align their brands, products, and employer appeal with the expectations of the next generation. At the same time, he is building 8PM SOCIAL, one of Europe’s most exciting social media startups. Both companies are guided by the same conviction: To be successful tomorrow, you must understand the people who will be making decisions, buying, and leading tomorrow.

Paul Funke combines the perspective of his own generation with analytical depth, an international education, and entrepreneurial experience. This allows him to translate societal changes into concrete strategies for companies—in a way that is understandable, practical, and with a clear eye toward the future.

“The coolest companies I work with have realized that it’s often worth prioritizing what’s important over what’s urgent.” — Paul Funke

More about Paul Funke

By the age of 23, Paul Funke had studied at universities in Munich, London, St. Gallen, and Buenos Aires and earned a master’s degree. He recognized early on that the biggest changes in the coming years would stem primarily from new expectations of brands, employers, and digital platforms.

By founding MOMENTUM, he established a management consulting firm that helps organizations become more relevant to Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Together with his clients, he develops brand strategies, products, and communication concepts that reach, inspire, and retain young target audiences over the long term. At the same time, MOMENTUM helps companies integrate the perspectives of the next generation into innovation and decision-making processes.

With 8PM SOCIAL, Paul is pursuing an even greater ambition: building a European social network for a new generation. The app has been live since June 2026 and is captivating Gen Z and Gen Alpha with a mindful, community-driven user experience and a clear focus on real-life connections. The platform has now given rise to the first 8PM Clubs, which bring people together in real life—currently in Germany, and eventually across Europe.

8PM SOCIAL won the Munich Startup Award 2026 and is frequently mentioned in the media as part of the public discussion about the future of social networks in Europe.

Through his Instagram channel, Paul Funke shares his perspective on business, new media, artificial intelligence, and technological developments daily with a growing community. His content consistently achieves high reach and addresses changes long before they become mainstream.

As a speaker, Paul Funke demonstrates how markets, brands, and people are changing—and what opportunities this creates for companies. His talks combine futurology, entrepreneurship, and practical experience with a perspective that few others can offer: He analyzes the next generation based on his own experience and is actively shaping their economy.
