Carsten Kraus – From classroom to market leader
Carsten’s story begins while he is still at school: he develops a software extension for the Basic programming language in his childhood classroom, teaches computer science at school and is even given time off from school to set up his first company. He then achieved a breakthrough with another piece of software: he sold his solution, which made programmes run many times faster, to Atari – for 80 pfennigs per computer. The software is delivered with 700,000 computers.
At the age of 16, Carsten Kraus founds his first company. In 2001, he sells his most successful technology. In the years that followed, he made many innovations. To date, he has registered 25 patents, founded 12 companies and invested in 12 start-ups, spoken at numerous events and correctly predicted more than one development in the field of AI in more than 30 years as an AI expert.
