Christoph Daum, born in 1953 in the Erzgebirge and raised in the Ruhr area, is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding and idiosyncratic football coaches in Germany.
For a quarter of a century, he has successfully proven himself as head coach at renowned European football clubs. He led VFB Stuttgart to the German championship title, won three championships in Turkey and one in Austria. In addition to these successes, he secured both Turkish and Austrian Cup victories and took on the position of national coach of the Romanian football team from 2016 to 2017.
