Franz Fischlin is a Swiss journalist. He was the presenter of the “Tagesschau” on swiss television from 2004 to 2022. From 2015 to 2020 he hosted the “Medienclub”, an industry-specific discussion programme.
Franz Fischlin studied communication sciences and journalism at the University of Fribourg, was editor-in-chief of the private radio station ExtraBern and news anchor at the private station TV3.
He is on the board of the association “Quality in Journalism”, co-founded an international journalism foundation and was the first media professional to win the Swiss Television Prize in the information category. Franz Fischlin is married to Susanne Wille and they have 5 children together.
