Marco Gercke Lecture topics

Marco Gercke is an experienced speaker who prepares an individual lecture for each event. Organisers have the opportunity to discuss the main topics in a briefing meeting. Typical lecture topics are:

  • Current developments in cybersecurity and cybercrime
  • Relevance for board members and managing directors
  • Impact on companies and decision-makers
  • Simulations of cyber incidents
  • Digitalisation, machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Impact of AI on the economy, society and politics

One focus of his work is on developing innovative approaches to combating a problem that has become a central issue for governments and businesses in recent years: cybercrime. He has worked worldwide for the past 15 years and has unique insights and insider knowledge on the subject of cybersecurity .

In addition to giving entertaining and exciting lectures, Marco Gercke conducts ‘cyber incident simulations’ with governments and large corporations. These simulations of attacks, which are geared towards the perspective of top management, enable participants to test their response readiness.

Digitalisation and its effects, particularly in relation to machine learning and artificial intelligence, are another focus. In the 1990s, Marco Gercke founded a company that developed machine learning for the development of software solutions in the field of medical diagnostics. He himself was largely responsible for the development of the technology. His second company, a media agency, used machine learning and artificial intelligence for user interaction.

Today, his work focuses on advising international organisations and the boards of large companies on issues related to the opportunities and risks of digitalisation and the use of artificial intelligence.
