With the rapid expansion of the internet, a new field of crime has also arisen – cybercrime. Various different interest groups, companies, and even whole nations are combining their powers to overcome this problem. Yet, despite all their efforts, even supposedly highly secure institutions are time and again becoming the target of attacks by hackers. So-called “leaks”, i.e. the unauthorised publication of information, have in the meantime become a part of everyday life. This information on the exploitation of gaps in the IT security of organisations or companies is often preyed upon by cyber criminals.
