European Union / Brexit
As a political and economic consortium, the European Union brings with it many opportunities, but it also has to struggle with countless challenges. Finding common ground on key questions between so many countries, whilst also taking into account all their interests, is a highly complex task. Yet, in these times of globalisation and the increasing convergence of markets, there is almost no alternative to organising more and more things in a standardised way across international borders. Yet does this need to be done through the European Union? The (narrow) majority of British people proved to have a different opinion in the referendum on Brexit. Our keynote speakers on the topic of the EU are economists, politicians, financial experts and entrepreneurs. They highlight the political, economic and cultural aspects of the topic of the European Union and Brexit.
