Even as a young child, Tim Borowski wanted to become a professional footballer. After a total of 236 Bundesliga games for SV Werder Bremen and FC Bayern Munich and 33 caps for the German national team, he now looks back on his career with great gratitude and humility.
Tim Borowski was able to celebrate numerous successes, but also learnt how to deal with pressure, setbacks and defeats. This has shaped him positively as a professional athlete and as a person. He prefers to share his experiences in moderated talks, but also in lectures.

After his breakthrough with Werder Bremen in the 2003/04 season, which ended with them winning the German championship and the DFB Cup, Tim Borowski quickly established himself in the German national team. He was an integral part of the team during the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In the 2008/09 season, he played for FC Bayern Munich and also represented his country at the 2008 European Championships. Nevertheless, he later returned to Bremen and remained loyal to the club even after retiring as a professional player.
Due to the pressure to perform in sport, Tim Borowski realised early on that mental freshness is a decisive factor for success. This realisation has stayed with him even after his career, which is why he is always striving for new challenges. After retiring from active football, he wanted to expand his expertise professionally and started his coaching career. After completing his UEFA Pro Licence, he worked as an assistant coach at the youth training centre and for the first team of SV Werder Bremen. Through his experience as a player, he learnt to empathise with the players and to choose the right communication.
Tim Borowski now works as a TV pundit for Sky and DAZN. He also worked as an expert for Magenta TV at the 2022 World Cup and will also be working for Magenta TV at the 2024 European Championship. Here he can concentrate fully on analysing the teams in detail, which he particularly enjoys.
Tim Borowski is available as a speaker or talk guest for panel discussions.
