She had her first experience in front of the TV camera as a presenter at the age of 15. That was the foundation for Tanya’s career. Since then, she has graduated from the Ringier School of Journalism, where she was the first video journalist (previously only print journalists were trained), reported for the show’s younger audience as an online reporter and presenter of “The Voice of Switzerland” on SRF, worked for Portuguese state television RTP as a freelance correspondent in Switzerland, and developed, produced and presented her own formats at Switzerland’s first English-language channel, CNNMoney Switzerland. Her focus was the art scene and the start-up world. Her interview with art dealer Dominique Lévy in 2020 was quoted by the international press, including the Financial Times and The New York Times.

Tanya König also has experience as a print journalist and columnist: she has written articles for the Zürichsee-Zeitung, Aargauer Zeitung, Swiss Magazin and the US magazine Interiors. At Blick am Abend, she was a film critic for 4 years.

Tanya König has a Bachelor of Arts in Sinology from the University of Zurich and studied Mandarin for a year in Beijing at the Central Academy of Drama. Tanya speaks several languages, including English, German, French, Swiss German, Portuguese and some Mandarin.
