Carsten Maschmeyer is a successful entrepreneur, consultant, startup founder and financial investor. Carsten Maschmeyer sits on the jury of “Die Höhle des Löwen.
He was born on May 8, 1959 in Bremen and grew up in Hildesheim, where he graduated from high school in 1978. To finance his subsequent medical studies, he worked part-time in the sales department of an investment consulting firm until 1982, when he devoted himself entirely to financial consulting.

In 1988, he founded the financial group AWD, which was successfully listed on the stock exchange in 2000 and rose to the M-DAX, as well as expanding into eleven countries. In 2007, Carsten Maschmeyer sold all his shares in the company to Swiss Life, Switzerland’s largest life insurer.

Together with the Max Plank head, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Holsboer, he founded the company HMNC in Munich, which specializes in curing depression and brain disease.
With his book “Selfmade – erfolgreich eben” Carsten Maschmeyer became a best-selling author and is a very popular speaker on the subject of success.
He is the father of two sons and is married to the actress Veronica Ferres.
