Gib Bulloch: „The next big transformation in business will not be artificial. It will be human.“

This is the provocation from Gib Bulloch, an inspiring, pioneering and visionary business leader who writes and speaks on a range of topics relating to the role of business in society.  Bulloch argues that as new technology and AI become ubiquitous, differentiation and breakthrough innovation will depend upon an organisations ability to access the innate human potential and creativity of its leaders.

During his talks, Bulloch draws on his own extensive experience as an award-winning “intrapreneur” within consulting giant Accenture, to weave a compelling narrative linking creativity, innovation, and purpose-driven entrepreneurship with enhanced business performance.

During a 30-year corporate career, Bulloch challenged traditional business orthodoxy when he founded and scaled Accenture’s not-for-profit consulting business, from startup to unicorn status.  From a standing start in 2003, Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP) has now provided well over $1bn of business and technology services in 90 countries worldwide.  ADP’s unique blend of purpose and business performance earned Bulloch the Management Consulting Association’s Best Partner award and his reputation as one of the pioneers of the global intrapreneurship movement.

But success came at a price.

In his highly acclaimed first book, “The Intrapreneur: Confessions of a corporate insurgent”, Bulloch talks openly about his own mental health journey and the challenges of fighting what he calls the “corporate immune system”.

In 2019, Bulloch founded The Craigberoch Business Decelerator which is focussed on the enabling environment for entrepreneurship and how businesses can create “the fertile soil, where people and their ideas can flourish.”

Recognising that changing business must first start with changing ourselves, Bulloch challenges received wisdom on productivity, creativity and well-being – all popular themes for in his talks and for his regular magazine column, The Inside Out Leader.
