Big Data / Open Data
Many people have in the meantime become familiar with the terms Big Data and Open Data. Providing an accurate definition for these terms is quite a challenge, however – in particular because their meaning is subject to constant change. Big Data denotes quantities of data that exceed all formerly known dimensions. This may be on account of the enormous scale of a project, extremely fast generation of data or a high-speed data transfer. Open Data is the term used for data which is not subject to any limitation in its use. Anyone can access it without there being any relevant obstacles or costs and they are also permitted to pass it on to others. There is of course a lot more behind these two terms – Big Data and Open Data. This is an area where our keynote speakers feel quite at home. They would also be happy to speak on other terms which may appear difficult to comprehend at first glance, such as Big Data Solutions or Big Data Tools.
